LINCOLNSHIRE’S premier young farmers club, Market Rasen, commence their winter programme on Wednesday, October 5.
A new members night will be held at St Thomas Church Room, Market Place, Market Rasen at 7.30pm.
Anyone aged between 10 and 26 is more than welcome to come along to get a taste of what they do.
Meetings and trips are arranged throughout the year covering a whole host of activities from ten-pin bowling to pottery making.
Market Rasen takes great pride in being one of the largest young farmers clubs in the county, and with more than 40 members it has proved to be an awesome force in recent years by winning the county club championship five years consecutively and only narrowly losing out to county rivals Spalding this year.
The club, now under new chairman Kate Parker, aims to regain the trophy next year and hope to pick up a few more on the way.
However, it’s not winning that counts and Young Farmers is great way to meet new people and experience new things.
As always the club will be aiming to raise as much money as it can for charity.
The club’s chosen charity for this year is the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Fund (RABI).
The Young Farmers raises this money in a variety of ways, from discos and balls to sponsored bike rides and carol singing.
For more information call Kate Parker on 07725838048.
Please come down and bring your friends along. And remember, you don’t have to be farmer to be a Young Farmer.
