Harpswell garden to draw crowds

AS part of the National Gardens Scheme, the garden at Hall Farm, Harpswell, will be open this weekend.

Owned by knowledgeable gardeners Pam and Mark Tatum, the garden has a huge range of plants within the one and a half acres incorporating mixed borders of trees, shrubs, old roses and unusual perennials.

There is also a sunken garden, pond, courtyard garden, walled gravel garden and orchard, and a short walk takes you to an old moat and woodland.

For keen gardeners, there will be free seed collecting too and the large plant nursery is a tempting bonus.

The garden, just west of Caenby Corner on the A631, is open from 10am to 5pm on both days, with admission £3.50 for adults and children free.
