Marathon runner Jimmy Dutch has had ambitions of forming a metal detecting club since the 80s and he’s succeeded.

Caistor Metal Detecting Club came to fruition recently when the first day of the club saw members searching on a piece of land on the outskirts of Caistor.

And they came up trumps - finding a coin of Constantine the Great of 335AD in fine condition, as well as some decorated buckles and a Georgian coin, 1600-1700. Most of the items or objects of significance will go for future display at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre.
