There was the chance to get up to close to Caistor’s past when historian Alan Dennis and conservator Holly Clarke removed objects from the display cabinets in the Arts and Heritage Centre for people to handle.

“The purpose of the event is to give residents of Caistor and the surrounding area the chance to have hands-on experience of getting up close to and personal with their local history, as well as providing a bit of education into the historic conservation profession,” said Holly.

And Caistor resident David Hill, pictured centre above, was delighted to be able to examine the sweet making objects which are among the many items on display. (Lin)
