Market Rasen Flower Club
Judi drew on her wealth of experience, including national competitions, to create an attractive range of designs illustrating her theme of ‘What’s in a title?’
A beautiful transparent floral umbrella, similar to those the Queen Mother used, and a sunflower arrangement designed to represent a cruise in Tuscany were just two examples of her floristry and creative skills.
The club’s monthly competition for ‘A modern design using three flowers’ was won by Rita Goulsbra, who used three orange gerberas together with accessories in shades of copper and duck egg blue for her winning design.
Later in the month, 30 members enjoyed a social event with an evening meal at Sunnyside Up Farm Shop Restaurant, Tealby.
On Monday, October 15, at 7.30pm the club hosts its open evening in the Festival Hall, when international florist and Chelsea Gold Medal winner Sarah Horne will be demonstrating her floral skills with the title Autumn Harmonies. The event is open to all and tickets cost £8.
