Take a trip to Branston this weekend to view the eight-acre garden at Ashfield House.

The garden opens this Sunday, October 19, as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Constructed around a planting of trees and shrubs, there is a collection of 110 flowering cherries and a recently planted magnolia collection in a newly constructed woodland garden.

Open from 11am to 4pm, admission is £3.50, children free; home-made teas on sale.
