Market Rasen Air Cadets visited the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, where the cadets and staff were given a guided tour of the unique collection of aircraft.

The cadets were able to go inside the Lancaster and Dakota, gaining an insight into what it must have been like to fly in these aircraft on operations during the Second World War.

They also had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a Hawker Hurricane.

The local ATC Squadron, for ages 12 to 18, meets at their Waterloo Street HQ on Tuesday and Friday 7pm till 9.15pm.
