Cups, salvers and other trophies were awarded to the 2013 competition winners at Market Rasen and District Bridge Club.

The winners were: Club Championship - Martin Riggall and Mark Vincent; Winter teams - Emer Ward, Mike Clendening, Bernard Ellis and Doreen Dickinson; Wood Trophy - Jo Pike; Spencer Cup - Vincent Sherliker; Summer Shield - Linda Dobby;

Parker Cup - Dave Worrell and Terry Kedgley; De Aston Trophy - Dave Worrell and Terry Kedgley; Jubilee Handicap - Ann Crossland and Michele Johnson;

Summer Teams - Dave Worrell, Terry Kedgley, Linda Dobby and Ted Guy; Winter Handicap - Vincent Sherliker; Valentine Cup - Emer Ward and Don Glozier; Individual Championship - Barry Dutton.

The Christmas Competition also took place on and attracted 31 players.

This was based on the ‘Chicago’ scoring system, which resulted in some ferocious bidding and huge scores on individual hands.

The half time break for a Christmas buffet, laid on by the Cricket and Football Club, was welcomed by everyone – but play was soon taken up again with renewed vigour.

The winner was Louise Stone, just ahead of Charles Palmer, with Robin Gulliver coming a close third.
