Dr David Bee gave an eloquent, thoughtful and heartfelt talk on drug abuse in young adults at this month’s meeting of Binbrook and District WI.
The local GP was a fountain of information on a subject which members admitted they had very little knowledge.
Everyone wished Dr Bee every success in his quest for that understanding and the actions and investment he wished would be taken to help youngsters permanently turn their lives around for the better.
As from April this year, Binbrook & District WI will be meeting in the village hall and there is also a change of day and time.
Instead of the first Wednesday, meetings will be held on the first Thursday of the month, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.15pm start.
And the first speaker at the new venue, on April 3, will be historical author Sue Allan on ‘The people of Gainsborough Old Hall’.
As always, visitors will be welcome; admission £3.50.
The March meeting is the annual meeting, open to members only.
