EDITOR – I am writing regarding the proposed plan to place netting on the underside of the railway bridges to prevent pigeons nesting there.
It seems like a good idea but my only concern is, while it might keep the pigeons out, it also might keep the bats in.

I have seen the occasional bat fly under the bridge when I walk to my car late in the evening, but I cannot say if it lives there. Around 7.30-8pm is a good time to see it.

If netting is to be used, can I have some sort of assurance that it is to be bat-friendly netting and won't restrict their movement in any way.
