EDITOR – Reflecting on the Gardeners Fair of 2008, may I belatedly express our gratitude to the Rasen Mail for helping to promote Gardeners' Fair and give a really big 'thank you' to everyone who supported this year's event, which attracted large crowds on both days.
The traders were happy, the sun came out on Sunday, the music played and the food was fantastic, and lots of new people visited our town.

The event is managed each year by dedicated volunteers, without whom the fair would not take place.
We are now gearing up for GF2009 and really need to develop business and communication relationships, and we need lots more volunteers.

It's great fun and really worthwhile, as the event helped 10 local organisations this year to raise over £2,000 as well as their profile.

Planning gets under way earlier this year as there are competing events at the start of June 2009, so a new date may have to be found.

We will be holding a Stakeholders' Forum with Traders and local organisations soon; so please call Rasen Hub on 844556 or email GF09@live.com if you are interested in keeping gardening, Market Rasen and surrounding areas on the map.
