EDITOR - I would like to appeal to any readers who noticed their pet acting strangely or out of character, just before the earthquake hit Market Rasen.
Dr Rupert Sheldrake, biologist and author, is collecting stories from pet owners on the fascinating subject of the unexplained power of animals.

Far from being far fetched and fanciful there is strong evidence to suggest that lots of animals can predict earthquakes. Some dogs howl hours before a tremor and cats have been known to hide in unusual places they have never been seen before.

If your pet seemed to know BEFORE the earthquake hit, we would be very grateful to have brief details and any observations, in particular details of how long before the quake your pet reacted. Please email pam@telepet.demon.co.uk
