This week's Market Rasen mail - Out now
A new initiative in open air theatre is being launched in the grounds of Elsham Hall this summer.
The Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be giving three performances at the venue as part of their national tour, which will see a season of magical, mysterious and romantic characters from some of the best-loved stories of literature.
William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream will be staged on Tuesday, July 20, Beauty and the Beast on Friday, August 20, and Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing Thursday, September 2.
All performances start at 7.30pm, with tickets and further information available from Elsham Hall on 01652 688698, or Brigg Tourist Information Centre on 01652 657053.
Tickets cost £12, with students and children £8. Family and party discounts are also available.
The grounds of Elsham Hall will be open for picnics from 6pm.
From a first year of performances at some 30 venues with Romeo and Juliet in 2000, Chapterhouse has established itself as one of the most successful and acclaimed touring companies in the country.
This year, the company will be performing in more than 100 of Britain's most beautiful and idyllic garden settings, including Woburn Abbey, Savill Gardens and Fountains Abbey.
