See motorcycle stunt team and more at Country Fair
ORGANISERS of the popular Brocklesby Country Fair have litterally gone over the top in arranging the 23rd annual festival of fun for this Sunday, June 22.
The main ring attraction will be the Over the Top Motorcycle StuntTeam - once seen never forgotten and other entertainments are the Essex Dog Display Team, Woodside Falconry with an ‘Owls of the World’ display and pig racing, mounted games from the Brocklesby Pony Club, terrier racing and parades of vintage cars and tractors as well as the Brocklesby Hounds.
The Brocklesby Country Fair enjoys all of the charms of a very traditional fete with a dog show, punch and judy, WI tea tent, cross country running races, the chance to buy plants, produce and timber products from Lord Yarborough’s grounds, archery, clay pigeon shooting and pistol contests, fly casting and ferret racing.
There are also hot air balloon rides, chainsaw carving demonstrations and a retriever competition for on the day entrants as well as a Brown and Co valuation session for small items and cookery demonstrations by the Grimsby Institute. Cavies and dogs can be entered on the day for the cavy and fun dog shows.
The fair now attracts around 15,000 people to the show field in Lord Yarborough’s parkland on the Yarborough Estate and the charity supported by an auction held at 3.30pm and a grand raffle offering tickets to Lapland anda Limo ride is When You Wish Upon a Star.
Chilkdren go free, under 14, and for adults it’s £10 and £8, with fre parking, adding up toa great, quality, fun packed day with lots to see and do for all the family.
