MUSIC at its most majestic will be presented at Lincoln Cathedral over coming weeks.
Next Friday, November 21, the Band of the Royal Marines will play at 7.30pm. Tickets at £25 include a pre-concert reception and others, £18, £12 and £7 are all available on 01522 561644.


There are also organ recitals on Sundays, for free at 5.15pm with retiring collection.


November 16: Vladimir Matesic from Bologna, Italy; November 23: Colin Walsh fromLincoln Cathedral playing Widor: Symphony 5; December 21, Colin Walsh playing Messiaen: La Nativité du Seigneur.


Times switch to 5.30pm on Sundays on March 8: Colin Walsh, playing Vierne: Symphony 1; March 15: Benjamin Chewter (Lincoln Cathedral), Vierne: Symphony 3, Messiaen; March 22: Charles Harrison (Lincoln Cathedral).


Monday night concerts at 7pm costing £6 are April 13: Charles Harrison (Lincoln Cathedral); May 4: Robert Sharpe (York Minster); May 25: Peter Wright (Southwark Cathedral, London); August 31: Colin Walsh (Lincoln Cathedral).
