MORE THAN 600 visitors took a trip to Hall Farm in Stainton le Vale for Open Farm Sunday, the second time the Sir Richard Sutton's Settled Estates farm has taken part in the event.
Farm Manager Malcolm Vaughan said visitor interest had doubled on last year’s event, making this year’s ‘an extremely good day’.

“It was wonderful to see people of all ages attending, from babies in prams right the way through”, he said. “We have had some excellent feedback and plans are already underway for next year’s event”.

A display of tractors and combines attracted all ages, as did the trailer rides and local produce was also on sale in the mini food fayre organised by Market Rasen Rotary Club.

Market Rasen Young Farmers were raising funds for their charity Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, with a time competition of changing the points on a plough.

Neighbouring farmers also helped Malcolm and his team in explaining about the day and promoting everything good about agriculture today.
