Students' bus safety fears

BRIGG Town Councillor Anne Eardley has raised the issue of overcrowding on the 365 service bus between Brigg and Scunthorpe due to John Leggott college students using it when the college buses are not operational.

Concerned for the safety of the pupils, she suggested that it was completely unsafe for both them and routine passengers to travel on a bus that is overcrowded.

She had been on it when there were no less than 18 pupils standing in the aisle.

The clerk had contacted North Lincolnshire Council and John Leggott with regard to this matter and the college had promised to look into the situation.
