Stage debut for Brigg starlets

YEAR 10 Vale of Ancholme Technology and Music College student Katie Graham will star as Laurey in next week's Brigg Operatic Society producion of Oklahoma.

"I'm really excited about my first adult role. At least I will be on a stage I know," said Katie at rehearsals as curtain-up creeped ever closer.

Playing alongside Katie will be Ashley Bateson as Curley, while Brigg hairdresser Terrie -Ann Heseltine also has a lead role as Ado Annie alongside Dean Jones as Will Parker.

Producer Peter Barnes has put together a youthful cast, with a few old hands as well, and the enterprise of the society is deserving of the area's support.

The show is being staged fromTuesday, October 27, to Saturday 31at 7.30pm in the Vale of Ancholme Technology and Music College.
