MEMORIES of school days are being relived by a group creating an electronic archive.

Following a school reunion two years ago, the group has been busy collecting photographs and other artefacts relating to Caistor Grammar School and are busy getting it ready for display.

Now they have joined with Caistor Heritage Trust to ensure the items are preserved for future generations.

Former deputy head Charlotte Linsell and former school secretary Harry Minns have been invaluable to the group by sharing their wealth of information on the school’s past.

The group was also fortunate enough to interview Ken Michel shortly before he died earlier this year. Mr Michel was headmaster at the school from 1957 to 1981.

The collection will go on display in Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre on the weekend of March 17 and 18.

Go along and share your memories and maybe name some of those elusive faces in the many photographs.

It’s not too late for Mail readers to help the group add to the archive with photographs or other items of interest; contact Peter Steel on 01472 343437 or Polly Baxter on 01472 371389; alternatively take them along to the exhibition.
