Campaigners say they are ready to renew their fight after a pig farmer has resubmitted an application for two wind turbines.

Back in January West Lindsey District Council’s planning committee turned down an application for two 35m wind turbines at Heath Farm in Normanby by Spital.

The committee said the development would have a “detrimental impact on the visual amenity of the open area”.

About 150 residents signed a petition against the turbines and MP Edward Leigh voiced his objections - but council officers had recommended it for approval.

Now Ermine Farms Ltd has submitted another planning application for two wind turbines in the same place.

Campaigners are concerned about any turbines having a detrimental impact on children with autism who ride horses in a near by field.

And they have raised concerns about road safety and the potential for accidents.

A public consultation is under way.

Campaigners are holding a meeting at The Bottle and Glass pub, Normanby by Spital at 7.30pm today, Wednesday, March 20.
