On your marks for second Sport Relief Mile

PEOPLE can now apply to take part in Market Rasen’s second Sport Relief Mile.

Hundreds of people are expected to turn out for the race at the school fields next to De Aston Sports Centre on Sunday, March 25.

The event, organised by Sainsbury’s, encourages people to complete one, three or six miles and help raise money to change the lives of people living in tough conditions in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.

De Aston Sports Centre’s manager Shaun Fisher said: “The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Market Rasen is back and it’s your time to shine. From teeny-tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock there’s something for everyone on the big day.

“Two years ago, the Market Rasen Mile had over 50 participants and raised a staggering £300. This year we want to make the day even bigger and better – but we need your help to do that.

“So come Market Rasen, pull up your Sport Relief socks, enter the Mile and do something amazing.”
