Emma, Carol step out to make a difference

NEW Year resolutions to ‘make a difference’ will come to fruition in May when two Wragby mums step out on a gruelling walk for charity.

Emma Prothero, 30, and Carol Renouf, 37, are taking part in this year’s London2Brighton 100km Challenge and hope to raise at least £375 each.

Emma is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides practical, medical and financial support for those suffering from the disease.

Carol’s charity is Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening conditions.

Emma said: “The challenge itself will be a gruelling but rewarding one. Neither of us has ever done anything like this before.

“We are training hard but also having fun by doing Zumba classes and long practice walks in all types of weather.

Carol added: “This is by no means an easy task to have chosen, but knowing we are raising money for two deserving charities spurs us on.”

The walk begins in London on Saturday, May 12 and finishes the following day.
