Children enjoyed a story illustration workshop at Market Rasen Library as part of Plank 2013

A story illustration workshop at Market Rasen Library proved to be popular with budding artists on Friday.

Led by experienced artist Afifa Ematullah Sutherland, the session inspired the youngsters to create some beautiful and imaginative pages of illustrations.

The workshop was one of many being held as part of Plank 2013 - Market Rasen’s month-long arts and crafts festival.

Over the weeks, a range of art works have been on display throughout the town.

The festival rounds off this Saturday, March 2, when unsold pieces of art will be auctioned by Mike Perkins.

Any profit over the artists’ reserve will go to Plank 2014.
