Chance for public to say what is right for The Wong

People will have the chance to view plans for The Wong in Horncastle at a public consultation tonight (Wednesday).

The Wong Working Group is attempting to secure The Wong as a public space for local people, but their plans have stalled because East Lindsey District Council claim they own the land.

The Working Group will be on hand to outline their proposals at Stanhope Hall between 5.30pm and 9pm.

Coun Bill Aron, chairman of the working group, said: “All the design lay-outs will be on display and members of the group will be on hand to answer questions.”

Coun Aron said the group would welcome input from residents about their plans.

The working group has received a grant of more than £9,400 to and is currently taking legal advice about the ownership issue.

ELDC plans to introduce car parking charges on The Wong for the first time next month.
