Open Day for Caistor Monti school
FRIENDS of Lincolnshire Montessori are holding a fundraising Summer Fayre at Top House, Caistor on Saturday, June 27, from 11am to 2pm to include a children's entertainer, card stall, beat the goalie, BBQ, chocolate board, mini Olympics, craft stall treasure hunt and cake stal.
It is an ideal opportunity to rake a look agt the new school too, which is now open for pupils enjoying the accommodation carved out of the old pub, tea rooms and holiday accommodation.
Tickets, 5 and 2.50 including BBQ and drink, available from school reception or call 01472 859589.
Children and families raised 704 at a school obstacle race to help finance a piano for the Caistor site.
Many visitors attended the private school’s open day to view the facilities which include units for ages birth to three, three to six and six to 12, as well as an out-of-school club, offices, training room, art room, hall and library all linked by glazed corridors.
The children also have access to hard surface play areas, grassed quads and acres of land.
This is the first birth to 11Montessori site in the county and one of only a handful in the UK.
