THE funeral service for Rita Priestley, aged 84 years of Market Rasen, was held at the parish church.

The Rev Michael Cartwright officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall.

Rita, née Clarke, was born at Normanby by Spital.

Over the years she worked as a waitress for Stokes, in Boots at Lincoln, and at J H Starbuck’s of Market Rasen.

Son Ian, son-in-law Barrie Wilkins and grandson-in-law Timothy Dalton acted as bearers at the service and Rita was buried at Legsby Cemetery, next to her late husband Leslie.

Family mourners were: Sandra and Keith Tindall, Gillian and Barrie Wilkins (daughters and sons-in-law); Ian and Cindy Priestley, Graham and Jane (sons and daughters-in-law); Lesley Tindall (granddaughter); Rachelle and Timothy Dalton (granddaughter and husband, also rep Ciaran and Ellis, great-grandchildren); Daryl Priestley, Barrie Wilkins (grandsons); Claire Wilkins and Steve Wright, Melanie Priestley and Rob Wild, Melissa Priestley and Mike Tallboys (granddaughters and boyfriends); James and Vikki Langley; Simon Langley; Roy Clarke (brother); Freda and Norman Booth (niece and husband); Edith Stephenson, Irma Lough (sisters, unable to attend); Bernard and Pauline Clarke, Roland and Jean Clarke (brothers and sisters-in-law); Bertha Sawyer (cousin); Stephanie Wilson (granddaughter, unable to attend); Mrs F Horton.
