Obituary: Alice Barnes
The funeral service for Alice Barnes, aged 81 years of Market Rasen, was held at Market Rasen Citadel.
Salvation Army envoy Anne Chaplain conducted the service and arrangements were by J Marshall.
Alice was born in Northumberland.
After marrying Thomas, she travelled with him in his career as an RAF policeman for 23 years.
The couple had two daughters, Lesley and the late Jacqueline.
Alice was a keen member of the Lammas Leas social groups and the Salvation Army friendship club. She also attended the Lilac Court Day Centre.
Family mourners were: Lesley and Charles Bailey (daughter and son-in-law); Peter Bird (son-in-law); Edward Shears (nephew, also rep Iris, Mary and Cyril, sisters and brother, and also other extended family).
Friends at the service were: Barbara and Dave Morris; Jenny Palmer (also rep Jane, Sally and Sophie); R Sturdy; Mrs V Staves; Mrs J Rhodes; Mrs A Richards; Mrs J Town; Jenny Smith (also rep Lilac Court); Steve Bailey; Marion Surfleet; Mavis Brasewell (also rep S Perkins).
