The funeral service for Mary Elizabeth Bell, aged 64 years of Market Rasen, was held at Lincoln Crematorium.

Paul Disley officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall.

Mary was born at Nettleham, the eldest of seven children born to Bridey and Bill Desforges of Ingham.

On leaving school, Mary went to work for a Lincoln clothing manufacturer, remaining there until she married Ray, a Lincoln City fireman, in 1969.

In 1982, they moved to Market Rasen, where Mary worked for Kays, Audrey’s Wool Shop, British Bakeries and then the Co-op until she retired in 2008.

Mary was also a member of the WRVS, WI and Meals on Wheels.

Family mourners were: Ray (husband); Wayne and Susan (son and daughter-in-law); Mark (son); Bridey Desforges (mother); Jessie Skinner (sister); Ann and Neil Codd (sister and brother-in-law); Lillian Durdey and Malcolm (sister and partner); Peter and Chrissie Desforges, Paul and Norma Desforges (brothers and sisters-in-law); Jean and Dave Jupp (sister and brother-in-law); Greta Ingall (sister-in-law); Allan and Pat Bell (brother-in-law and sister-in-law); Tracey Bradley and Ben (niece and partner); Stuart and Hazel Codd, Hannah and Charlotte Codd (nephew and family); Alex, Nicola and Chester Codd (nephew and family); Garath Durdey (nephew); Megan Desforges (niece); Candice, Sean and Connor (niece and nephews).
