THE funeral of Leslie Smith, of Tennyson Close, Caistor, took place at St Peter and Paul Church in the town and was officiated over by the Rev Canon Ian Robinson.

He was born in Fountain Street, Caistor, and was a scaffolder for many years. He played in darts team and loved his family holidays.

Les was a great father to daughter Lou and sons Leslie and Steve.

He died at his home on August 12. Arrangements were by J W Varlow and Son of Chapel Street, Caistor.

Immediate mourners at the funeral service were: Dot (wife), Lou (daughter), Les and Steve (sons), Dave (son–in–law), Sarah (daughter–in–law), Michael, Robert, Debbie, Stephen, Vicky, Becky, Ben and Harriet (grandchildren), Thomas, Harley, Lily, Crystal, Charlie and Alfie, (great grandchildren) Kathy, Wally, Colin, Evelyne and Wendy (brothers and sisters), Ray, Steve, Pete, Ivy, Carole, Dolly and Ted (brothers–in–law and sisters–in–law), Diane and Tony (niece and nephew), Leanne and Becky (granddaughters–in–law), Gareth (grandson–in–law), Paul Siddle.
