AN evening of nostalgia is planned at Middle Rasen.

The Methodist Church is going back to the 40s at a special event this Saturday, April 14.

Organisers will be creating an authentic atmosphere, with a typical 1940s meal being served, together with a themed quiz based on lifestyle.

The raffle will be full of prizes welcome during rationing too.

Vera Grim and her backing band will be providing the entertainment, with a host of familiar songs of the time.

The evening starts at 7pm and themed dress is optional.
