National Science and Engineering Week at Caistor Yarborough
MORE than 100 children and students have put science to the test at Caistor Yarborough Specialist Arts College, to celebrate National Science and Engineering Week.
Demonstrations, experiments and games showcasing how science, technology, engineering and mathematics can be stimulating and fun, brought two schools together.
During the project, which has been running for a number of weeks, Gifted and Talented students at Caistor Yarborough worked alongside scientist Katy Hewis and artist Kirsty Champ to devise and lead their own interactive experiments and games to culminate in a day of workshops for Caistor Primary School children.
Caistor Yarborough is one of 27 schools from across the East Midlands involved in the Come Alive with Science activities.
Head teacher at Caistor Primary School, Zoe Hyams, said: "Our children were excited and engaged in their learning.
"We are always impressed by the mature and responsible attitude of Caistor Yarborough pupils, who managed the day well and were very clear of their objectives."
