Development looks set to get approval

A NEW development of 66 homes looks set to be built on land off Willingham Road, Market Rasen.

The Chestnut Homes scheme, which will be sited on the former Blanchards Taxi site, was given the support of Market Rasen Town Council last week and will now go before West Lindsey District Council’s planning committee for approval.

If the construction goes ahead the development will be a mixture of two, three and four bedroom houses and two bedroom apartments with designated parking places for each residence.

Homeowners will be able to access the site from Willingham Road and Pasture Lane, and the builders plans include a play park, open spaces and a pumping station close to the River Rase to prevent flooding.

Market Rasen Town Council have asked for open spaces and play parks to be fenced off from the road for the safety of pedestrians and for yellow lines to be painted in Pasture Lane.
