A night at the movies raises money for Haiti

THREE youngsters at Caistor Primary School have taken their school to the movies to raise money for the Haitian earthquake victims.

Max McCulloch, Jack Plaskitt and Brian Jolly decided they wanted to raise money so, with the help of teacher Nick McCann and parent Billie-Jo Connor plus many others, a film evening was arranged.

Parent Shaun Page, manager at Block Buster in Grimsby, loaned the school 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' and donated an enormous box of popcorn for the event and parents and children made cakes to sell.

The film was watched by 138 children and many who could not attend donated money raising a fantastic 317.
