CAISTOR and District Flower Club was entertained by Swanland flower arranger Valerie Ions with a Touch of Glass.
Spring garden material was arranged in a round glass container to start the evening, with rhododendron as the focal point.

A glass globe covered in papier mache was the base for phormium variegata and pink LA lilies, with a lichen branch collected from the Humber shores, hung with glass phials containing hypericum and orange roses, used in the centre of the arrangement.

A huge glass vase using plaited palms and pale green orchids made a powerful spectacle and lastly Valerie used a cast iron frame with glass blown on it to arrange pure white peonies and vibernum with other material.

Schedules for the show on July 12 are available from 01472 851548.
