‘Joe Public’ canvassed homes in Cherry Holt saying hedges were obstructing a public highway, but in a response, sent anonymously to the Mail, three of the owners say they would have ‘thought more of you if you had approached any one of us direct, face to face. If it upsets you so much feel free to come and cut it yourself.” they said.

Neighbour Christine Yull also got in touch with the Mail. She received a letter, despite not having a hedge, and said that although some were close to the kerbline none of them impeded on the road.
