CAISTOR'S Methodist Minister will be ordained in a ceremony at the annual conference of the Methodist Church in Scarborough this Sunday, July 6.
Rev Andrew Lomax, who has been in Caistor for almost two years, has responsibility for the churches in Nettleton and the Kelseys, as well as Caistor, and is a governor at the town’s primary school.

“I felt called by God to ministry in 1999,” he said.

“It is the church’s confirmation on my ministry, there has been a long process of testing and now both the church and I feel this is what God wants for my life.

“I am looking forward to the day. The Methodist Church does not do ‘pomp and ceremony’ like other churches, but on a big occasion like this there will be over 600 people packed into the Methodist Central Hall at Scarborough.”
