WHEN staff and pupils from the grammar school took part in the annual 12-mile walk over hill and dale, they were raising funds to finance a trip for students from their sister school in Senegal.

Although not as wet as last year, the walkers did encounter several downpours but also enjoyed sunshine along the route which took in part of the Viking Way.

Most people finished the walk although there were a few sore feet and certainly plenty of muddy clothes
Students from the Tivaaoune High School in Senegal will be visiting during the coming academic year.
