10/09/08 - Complaints lead to extra police patrols

POLICE patrols are being stepped up after complaints about youths near Ayscough Grove causing problems by playing football late at night and also on North Kelsey Road where garden pots and ornaments have been stolen.
Monitoring will also be carried out into the parking of cars near road junctions and on pavements and verges. Fixed penalty notices will be issued.
Traffic is also being monitored at local schools around starting and leaving times and checks carried out at Roxton Woods where there have been complaints about bikes and at Stone Pit Lane in Keelby, going onto the new pavilion.
A letter has been sent to the owners of the fence line surrounding Grasby Quarry asking them to repair it to prevent trespass after three local youths were caught in the quarry.
In Swallow and Cuxwold patrols are being conducted after break-ins at the Cricket club. And investigations continue into thefts from vehicles
Partrols are also being increased in Rothwell where the feather plant on Cuxwold Road has been receiving frequent attention from scrap metal/fuel thieves.
