COUNCILLORS at Caistor are to look at the cost of bringing the town's largely defunct CCTV system up to date, so that it can be taken over by West Lindsey and incorporated into their system, which is monitored at Gainsborough.
West Lindsey is not prepared to take the system over until various points are taken care of and councillors have to decide if they are prepared to pay to put some of the points right.

They were warned that Market Rasen Town Council is presently questionning the £11,000 annual cost of administering the system and wanted to know if Caistor's system, which is presently turned off, would burden the town with a similar bill.

However, Mayor Steve Webster said the Caistor system operated through Broadband and would not incur the same type of charges as Market Rasen's.
