Nominations sought for Brigg service award

NOMINATIONS are invited for the Joseph J Magrath award for community service in Brigg which can be submitted by both voluntary organisations and individuals.
The award bares the name of a distinquished Town Clerk of the 1960s.


The Silver Rose Bowl, which is held for one year, will be awarded to the person who, in the opinion of Brigg Town Council, has contributed most to the well being of the town during 2008. Service can be within a local organisation, service to the old and infirm, service to youth, service to the cultural life of the community, service within sport and leisure organisations, courageous actions, or actions which have increased the standing of the town.


The award will be presented at the Annual Civic Charity Banquet to be held at the Kar Restaurant in Brigg, on Thursday, March 5.


Closing date for nominations is Wednesday, January 7 and forms are available from the Town Clerk's office in the Angel Suite.
