NORTH Lincolnshire Council is launching a new scheme to support people in the Brigg area in their quests to be more active.
From this week until March 31, the Active Choices Active Future Implementation group will be starting a new scheme to provide funding for groups who want to start up their own project.

The Brigg and District Active Choices, Active Future Impleme
ntation Group want to hear what you have to say on this topic. They want to know what sort of things will help people in the local community to take part in more physical activity.

If there is an activity or project you are keen to set up but something is preventing you from doing so, the team could help to make it happen.

The group welcomes ideas from voluntary groups, organisations and individuals looking to organise an activity. The projects could be anything – walking groups, parent and child rounders league, weekly exercise classes in the village hall or bike riding – anything you feel is needed in the community.

Support may be in the form of funding to get the activity started, assistance with venues, support with training, help with applying external funding or simply fitness advice.

To submit an idea please contact Marie Bailey, the Sport, Play and Community Development Officer on 01724 297181 or email: marie.bailey@northlincs.gov.uk
