Brigg auctioneer helps raise Daisy Appeal funds

FUNDRAISING will be the name of the game when Brigg auctioneers Brown & Co lend a helping hand to Charlie Murray to raise funds for the cancer support charity Daisy Appeal tomorrow, Thursday.
Mr Murray will be displaying his 1948 Grey Ferguson tractor at Brown & Co’s machinery auction on November 27, and selling raffle tickets to win for the classic tractor.


Proceeds will be added to the £6,000 he has already raised for Daisy Appeal funds at Castle Hills Hospital in Hull where he was treated for throat cancer.


Auctioneer Ken Pritchard said the Old Foundry based sale was an ideal fundraising opportunity for Mr Murray as even in these times of economic down turn, good crowds were assured.


“Despite freak hailstorms and flash flooding, 2000 people attended a sale we conducted in Devon three weeks ago and the results were impressive he said.
