EVERY Wednesday a coffee afternoon takes place in Howsham Village Hall from 2 to 4 pm with hot drinks and biscuits laid on free of charge.

Howsham parish chairman Charles Brindley said locals could come in on a social footing and share any questions or information for the Parish Council or village hall committee.
"This is another avenue for local people to have their say," he said.

The group has been promised a set of carpet bowls by the Activity Initiative at North Lincs Council and a suggestion was made to try the latest craze of New Age Curling.
"It is hoped that with good attendances this can bring local people together for the good of this very rural community," said Mr Brindley.
