FREIGHT traffic and Saturday passenger trains will be starting up on the Brigg line again this month.
Town councillors were told that Network Rail were in the process of taking back control of the line after major engineering works have been carried out.

* St Barnabas Church, Barnetby holds its summer fair in the church hall this Saturday, July 5 from 1.30pm. The Church's Children's Holiday Club will be from Monday July 28 to Wednesday July 30 from 10am to 11.55am.
The theme is 'Have Fun at the Olympics'.
Cost is 50p per session and the age range is 5-11 years old.

* Brigg Town Council's planning committee has refused to support an application by gypsies/travellers to North Lincolnshire Council for the site on Mill Lane.
Councillors recognised the need to find a suitable site for the settled gypsy population in Brigg, but felt the Mill Lane site is in an area designated as at high risk of flooding.
